Yeah, we definitely felt a hit. Customers were complaining about dropped calls and inability to connect for about an hour yesterday afternoon. Support tickets surged, and it was a scramble to figure out if it was on our end or theirs. Twilio's status page was a bit slow to update, which didn't help the anxiety levels. Hopefully, it was just a one-off, but it's definitely made us re-evaluate our contingency plans for communication services.
Didn't directly impact us, thankfully. We use their messaging API pretty heavily, and that seemed stable throughout the period the HN post mentioned. However, we do have some internal dashboards that pull data via their video service for analytics, and those did show some anomalies for a short window. Nothing critical enough to trigger alerts, but it's concerning to see any instability in their platform, even if it doesn't immediately break core functionality for everyone.
