Product focus shifting? Anyone else noticing this?

Been at Twilio for a while now, and I'm trying to make sense of where our product roadmap is heading. It feels like we're starting to shed or de-prioritize some areas that were previously considered core, while doubling down on others that seem less... established? This might be a normal business cycle, but coupled with the general market downturn and some of the public news about other tech companies, it's hard not to feel a bit uneasy. Are others seeing this shift? Is it a strategic pivot, or is it driven by cost-cutting measures that might eventually lead to headcount changes? Curious to hear if anyone has any inside info or observations.

I've been with Twilio for a few years and I've definitely noticed a shift. It feels like the company is trying to find its next big growth area, which is understandable given the market. Some of the older, reliable products seem to be getting less attention, which is concerning for long-term stability. On the flip side, the new initiatives do seem to have potential, but they're also riskier. It's a balancing act, and I'm curious to see how it plays out.

Totally agree. The product focus feels a bit scattered lately. It's like we're chasing too many shiny objects instead of refining what made us great. I'm worried that by spreading ourselves too thin, we might lose our edge in the core areas. Hopefully, leadership has a clear vision for this pivot and can communicate it effectively to the teams on the ground. It's hard to stay motivated when the direction feels uncertain.
