Seriously, what is up with management lately?!?! (Rant)

I'm so frustrated right now I could scream. The constant re-orgs, the changing priorities, the vague promises of 'growth' – it's all BS. We're working our tails off, and for what? So some VP can get a bigger bonus? I've been here for 5 years (part of the Programmable Voice team), and I used to actually *like* working here. Now it feels like a constant fire drill. Every week there's some new 'urgent' project that completely derails our existing roadmap. And then, surprise, surprise, it gets canned a month later. I'm tired of the lack of transparency, the empty platitudes, and the feeling that we're all just disposable cogs in a machine. Seriously considering jumping ship, even if it means taking a pay cut. My mental health is worth more than this.

I feel you. I've only been here 2 years (Flex team), but I've seen three major org changes. It's exhausting. They keep talking about 'synergy' but it just feels like shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic. I'm updating my resume. This isn't the company I signed up for and it's affecting my mental health. It's rough out there, but staying here is becoming unbearable.

Five years in Programmable Voice gives you serious clout. Maybe it's time to leverage that. Start networking internally and externally. Look for roles that are less impacted by the constant shifts, like architecture or a principal engineer position. Or, if you're really fed up, start interviewing. Knowing your worth in the current market might give you some peace of mind, even if you don't leave.
