Morale seems to be in the tank – what's going on?

Seriously, what is happening with morale lately? It feels like people are just going through the motions. Meetings feel pointless, initiatives get announced and then die a quiet death, and there's a constant feeling of uncertainty. I try to stay positive and focus on my work, but it's hard when the general sentiment around the office (or on Slack, more accurately) is so negative. Are other departments feeling this way? Is it just us, or is this a company-wide thing? I'm starting to wonder if leadership is even aware of how people are feeling, or if they just don't care. It's getting really demotivating.

Yeah, I'm feeling that too. It's like we're stuck in neutral. Remember that big platform update they were so excited about a few months back? Haven't heard a peep since. And the constant reorganizations don't help. It's hard to invest yourself when you're not sure what team you'll be on next week, or if your current project will even exist. Just feels like a lot of noise with very little actual progress. Hoping things turn around soon, but it's tough to see the path forward right now.

I've noticed it as well, though perhaps from a slightly different angle. It feels like there's a disconnect between leadership's messaging and the reality on the ground. We get updates about exciting new directions, but then day-to-day work continues with the same old challenges and a lack of resources. It's frustrating to see good ideas get shelved and to feel like our efforts aren't translating into tangible improvements. It creates a sense of stagnation, and frankly, it's demotivating when you're trying your best.
