Just saw the news about another round of layoffs on June 3rd. This is getting ridiculous. Feels like every few months there's a new round of 'restructuring' or 'efficiency gains'. I'm in [department, e.g., engineering/operations/marketing], and while my immediate team wasn't directly hit this time, the mood is really tense. People are looking over their shoulders, whispers in the hallway, and nobody really knows who's next. It's hard to stay motivated when you feel like your job security is constantly in question.
