Feeling the pressure after the recent Uber layoffs

This recent round of layoffs has definitely put a damper on things here at Uber. The official reasoning about 'necessary changes' feels a bit hollow when you see the impact. I've been with the company for a few years now, and while I know the market can be tough, it's hard not to feel a little insecure. I'm wondering what this means for our future projects and team stability. Are others feeling this increased pressure or uncertainty? Is this just a short-term adjustment, or are we looking at a longer period of 'efficiency' measures? Just looking to see if anyone else is sharing these feelings or has any perspective to offer.

Yeah, it's a rough time. The uncertainty is palpable, and it's hard to focus on the work when you're constantly wondering about the next announcement. I've seen a lot of talented people let go, and it makes you question your own place. Hoping for some clarity soon, but honestly, it feels like we're just waiting for the other shoe to drop. Let's just keep our heads down and do the best we can for now.

I understand the anxiety, it's definitely affecting morale. The official lines aren't really easing anyone's minds. I'm trying to stay positive and focus on delivering results, hoping that demonstrates value. But it's tough when you see colleagues who've been dedicated for years impacted. The ripple effect on team dynamics and project continuity is a real concern. It would be good to hear more about a long-term vision beyond these cuts.
