Turns out, they were restructuring the entire department the following month and the role was basically a placeholder. Easy interview? Red flag. Uber has been known to have...let's just say 'fluctuations' in headcount. Honestly, if you're a strong engineer, you deserve to be properly vetted. A rushed, simple interview could mean they're desperate, or worse, not really concerned about finding top talent. I'd keep your options open and continue applying elsewhere, even if you get an offer.
