Store Operations - Are We Seeing More Hours Cut?

Okay, so I work in one of the Ulta stores and I'm starting to wonder if we're seeing more than just the usual scheduling adjustments. Over the past couple of months, it feels like my store manager has been hesitant to approve overtime, and even regular hours seem to be getting scrutinized more than usual. We've lost a couple of people recently (voluntary, I think, but still), and they haven't been replaced. This means the rest of us are picking up the slack, and it's starting to impact customer service and our own sanity. Is this happening at other Ulta locations? Are they trying to quietly reduce staffing without making a big announcement? It's getting harder to keep up, and I'm genuinely concerned about what this means for our team and our ability to do our jobs effectively. Any other store associates out there feeling this pinch?

I've definitely noticed some of that at my location too. It feels like the pressure is on to keep labor costs down, and it's definitely making things more challenging for the team on the floor. We're having to really prioritize tasks, and sometimes customer service can feel a little stretched. Hopefully, it's just a temporary adjustment and not a permanent shift in how things are being managed.

This is concerning to hear. I haven't experienced that exact situation yet, but it makes me wonder if it's a company-wide trend. My store has been pretty consistent with staffing, but I do feel the push to be efficient and manage time wisely. If hours are genuinely being cut across the board, that's going to put a lot of strain on the associates trying to keep everything running smoothly.
