Hey there! I interviewed for a similar role about six months ago. It was a two-step process for me: first a phone screen with HR, then an in-person interview with the store manager and a district manager. They definitely asked a lot of behavioral questions focusing on conflict resolution with staff and customers, how I'd handle difficult sales situations, and examples of when I've motivated a team. Make sure you brush up on Ulta's values and their loyalty program, as those came up too. Good luck!
I haven't interviewed recently, but I've heard from friends that Ulta's process can vary by location. Generally, expect a mix of situational and behavioral questions. They want to see how you handle a busy retail environment, your approach to customer service, and your ability to drive sales. Highlighting your experience with product knowledge and any leadership roles where you've developed a team would be beneficial. Prepare some specific examples using the STAR method to showcase your skills effectively. Hope this helps!
