Been with UP in transportation for a bit now, and things have felt… off. More pressure to push trains, less slack in the schedule, and management seems to be breathing down everyone's neck about efficiency. It's not just a feeling; it's like the whole system is being squeezed. Heard some whispers from other terminals about similar situations. Just wondering if this is a company-wide push or if it's localized. Feels like we're being asked to do more with less, which is never a good sign. Wondering what's driving this intensified focus on output. Anyone else experiencing this, or am I just in a particularly high-stress zone?

Yeah, I've definitely noticed it out here too. Seems like every single train is on a tight leash, and any minor delay gets a lot of attention. Management is constantly asking about ETAs and how we can speed things up, even when it feels impossible with the current resources. It's a strange atmosphere; feels like we're always trying to catch up to something that's already moved. Definitely not just you.
