Anyone else noticing increased theft around the railyards?

Been working at UP for a few years now, and lately, it feels like things are getting out of hand. Noticed a significant uptick in cargo theft from unattended trains, especially in certain divisions. It's gotten to the point where we're more vigilant than ever, and frankly, it's a bit unnerving. Management's response seems... slow. Just wondering if anyone else is seeing this on their runs or in their yards? Is it just me, or does it feel like there's a correlation with some of the recent workforce adjustments? Trying not to jump to conclusions, but the timing is… interesting. Makes you wonder if there's a connection between people feeling squeezed and desperation setting in. Curious to hear if others have observed this trend.

Yeah, I've heard chatter about that from folks on the west end. Seems like certain types of goods are being targeted more frequently. It's a shame because it impacts everyone, not just the immediate losses but the increased security measures and potential delays that trickle down. Hope the company starts taking it more seriously before it escalates further.

I can confirm it's not just you. We've had a few close calls out east as well. The crews are getting frustrated because it feels like we're constantly on edge, and the company's reaction is mostly just talk. It's definitely a growing problem that needs more than just passive observation. Hoping for some proactive solutions soon.
