It's been a weird few months. No official word on anything, but the general atmosphere feels… tense. My department has been unusually quiet, with a few folks suddenly taking 'early retirement' or moving to different roles that weren't previously advertised. It's the kind of stuff that makes you think. Management's been doing a lot of meetings about 'synergy' and 'resource optimization,' which, let's be honest, usually precedes some kind of headcount adjustment. I'm not seeing any direct evidence of layoffs, but the silence is deafening, and the rumors are starting to fly. Just trying to gauge if this is a widespread feeling or if I'm just picking up on local station jitters. Anyone else feeling this low hum of uncertainty?

Yeah, I've been feeling it too. The 'synergy' talk is always a red flag, isn't it? Seems like every time they bring that up, it's not long before people are being shuffled around or shown the door.
