It honestly feels like they have been running in circles since that pricing fiasco. Watching the Austin office get gutted is just the latest reminder that the people upstairs have no clue how to steer the ship. You have to wonder if they are just slashing headcount to inflate the stock price for the next earnings call while the actual product rots. Stay strong to everyone affected, this whole transition feels like a sinking ship that just keeps shedding weight to stay afloat.
This is absolutely devastating for the folks in Austin. It’s hard not to connect the dots between the catastrophic strategy shifts over the last year and these layoffs. We all saw the internal morale take a nosedive when they ignored the community feedback, and now the employees are paying the ultimate price for those executive blunders. I sincerely doubt this is the end of the cuts, as they seem obsessed with aggressive restructuring to satisfy shareholders regardless of the human cost.
