Severance Package Details (Hypothetical)

Purely hypothetical question here, because I'm definitely *not* worried (lol). But, if Unity *were* to do a layoff, does anyone know what the standard severance package looks like? Number of weeks per year of service? Benefits continuation? Anything like that? Trying to prepare myself, just in case. I've heard rumors that the last major restructuring in 20XX wasn't exactly generous. Trying to get ahead of this, as I'm on a visa and need to figure out how I would handle it.

I remember hearing similar things about the 20XX layoff. Seems like they aimed for the bare minimum legally required. My friend was there, and it was something like two weeks plus a week for every year worked, capped at six weeks total. Health benefits were extended for a month, I think, but they had to pay the full premium. Being on a visa makes it extra stressful. Start looking at job postings now; even if it's just to see what's out there.

Honestly, it's all speculation until it happens. Unity's policy could have changed since then. My advice? Polish up your resume and quietly network. If you have solid connections, they can be a lifeline. Worrying about the hypothetical severance package isn't going to help you *get* a new job, but proactively preparing will. Good luck!
