Anyone else feeling the pressure with the new automation?

0x7f73…4468Been at UPS for a few years now, mostly in operations support. Lately, it feels like every new piece of tech they roll out is supposed to 'increase efficiency' but also seems to make a role redundant. We just got some new sorting AI that's supposedly handling tasks that used to take 3 people. HR keeps talking about 'synergy' and 'optimizing workflows,' which is corporate speak for 'we might not need as many of you.' The chatter online about job cuts is constant, even if there's no big news hit. Is this the new normal? Are we all just waiting for the axe to fall because a robot can do our job cheaper? Feels like you can't get ahead here anymore, just trying not to fall behind.
