I’ve been watching this play out from the warehouse floor and it’s become impossible to ignore. The constant corporate speak about efficiency is just a thin veil for anxiety and instability. I stopped trusting the leadership team months ago when they started prioritizing quarterly earnings over the people who actually move the freight. Honestly, if you’re already looking at other logistics companies, you’re ahead of the curve. Don’t wait for them to decide your future for you. Start sending those resumes out now before the next round of cuts hits even harder.
Hang in there. I know the feeling of dread when a notification pops up, but you have to stop tying your personal value to a company that treats headcount like a line item on a spreadsheet. I’ve seen this cycle happen before during past downturns, and the only people who come out unscathed are the ones who prepare for the exit early. Keep updating your credentials and keep your head down until you have a better offer in hand. You aren't being disloyal by looking out for your own security in this climate.
