Seriously, what's going on with the tech rollout?

Seeing all these layoffs, especially after the Amazon deal changes, makes me wonder about the tech initiatives. They're pushing new automation and tech pretty hard, but it feels like it's happening at the same time as massive cuts. Is the tech supposed to replace people, or is it just a way to streamline operations before more cuts? I'm not totally against new tools, but the messaging feels off when so many people are losing their jobs. It's hard to see technology as a positive when it feels like it's directly contributing to job losses. Anyone have insight into the long-term plan here? Are these cuts a one-time thing, or is this the new normal?

It's definitely a confusing time. On one hand, investing in technology seems like a necessary step for a company like ours to stay competitive and efficient. The automation could lead to smoother workflows and hopefully, fewer errors. But when you see the layoffs happening simultaneously, it's impossible not to connect the dots and worry about job security. The communication around these changes needs to be clearer; explaining how the tech integrates with the workforce, rather than just presenting it as a cost-cutting measure, would go a long way in easing anxieties.
