U.S. Bank - Anyone else seeing a hiring freeze or slow-down?

Hey everyone, Been with U.S. Bank for a few years now, and things feel... quiet. The usual buzz around new projects and expanding teams seems to have died down significantly in the last quarter. I haven't heard any official word, but I'm noticing fewer new roles being posted internally, and some departments that were actively recruiting seem to have put a pause on things. Even our internal training budgets feel tighter than usual. It's making me a bit anxious, especially with the economic climate being what it is. I'm trying not to jump to conclusions, but I'm curious if others are feeling this same lull. Are you seeing fewer external hires? Are managers being more cautious about approving new headcount requests? Any insights or similar observations would be helpful. Just trying to get a pulse on what might be happening behind the scenes before any official news breaks, if it even does. Trying to stay positive, but the uncertainty is a bit unnerving.

I've definitely noticed a shift too. It feels like projects are being stretched rather than new ones kicking off. My team's been tasked with finding efficiencies in our current processes, which can be code for 'less investment in growth.' Hoping it's just a seasonal dip or a strategic regroup, but the lack of transparency is a bit unnerving.

Same here. My manager alluded to a 'refocusing of resources' which usually translates to a hiring slowdown. We haven't had any new hires in months, and the ones we expected are on hold. It's tough to plan for the future when the present feels so uncertain. Curious to see if there's any official announcement soon.
