Valero: Anyone else feeling the pressure lately?

Hey everyone, posting anonymously here. Been with Valero for a few years now, and lately, it feels like the workload has been steadily increasing. More tasks, tighter deadlines, and it seems like headcount hasn't really kept pace. Is this just me, or are others feeling stretched thin? It's starting to impact the work-life balance, and frankly, it's getting a bit concerning. Thinking about whether this is a sign of something bigger brewing or just the usual grind. Curious to hear if anyone else is experiencing this, especially across different departments or locations. Trying to gauge if it's a company-wide trend or specific to certain teams. Any insights or similar experiences would be appreciated.

Definitely feeling it too. Seems like every department is being asked to do more with less, and it's not sustainable long-term. The pressure to hit targets hasn't let up, but the resources just aren't there to support it. It's made coming to work a lot more stressful than it used to be. Wondering how long people can keep this up before burnout really sets in.

You're not alone. It feels like we're constantly being pushed to maximize efficiency, which is fine in theory, but the reality is that it's just piling on more work without adequate support. I've noticed the increased demands impacting team morale significantly. People are tired and feeling the strain. It's a tough environment right now, and I'm also wondering what the long-term outlook is.
