Valero Energy: Layoff whispers getting louder?

Been hearing some chatter recently, mostly through unofficial channels, about potential layoffs at Valero. Nothing concrete, of course, just the usual hallway talk and maybe some hints from management that could be interpreted either way. Has anyone else picked up on anything similar?
