VeriSign - Anyone else seeing odd hiring patterns?

Hi all, Just wanted to put this out there. I've been keeping an eye on open positions at VeriSign, and it feels like some roles that typically move quickly are stalled, and there are fewer new requisitions popping up than usual. It's not a huge surprise given the current tech climate, but I'm wondering if this is a precursor to something more significant. Has anyone else in recruiting or management noticed a shift? Are budget approvals taking longer, or are we seeing more internal transfers filling gaps instead of external hires? It's hard to gauge from just the external job boards, so reaching out to see if anyone has any inside perspective. No panic here, just trying to understand the landscape. Appreciate any thoughts or observations you can share.

I've been observing similar trends across several tech companies, not just VeriSign. It definitely feels like a tightening up. Budget cycles seem to be stretching out, and there's a lot more scrutiny on new hires, even for roles that were previously considered critical. I'm seeing more emphasis on internal mobility and reskilling existing talent before bringing in new people. It's a cautious environment out there right now.

That's interesting you're seeing that at VeriSign specifically. While I haven't been tracking them closely, the general sentiment in the industry has been one of consolidation and a more deliberate hiring approach. We've noticed longer approval chains and a sharper focus on essential roles versus growth-oriented positions. It could be a strategic shift to weather economic uncertainty, or perhaps a signal of larger organizational changes in the works. Definitely something to monitor.
