So, the dust is starting to settle after the 84 folks were let go on the 18th. To be honest, the morale in my department is absolute trash right now. It feels like the communication from leadership was paper-thin—just the standard 'strategic realignment' corporate speak while people who have been here for years are packing their desks. It’s hard not to look over your shoulder when you see that many people cut at once, especially when we’re being told we need to 'do more with less' moving forward. Is anyone else hearing rumors about whether this was a one-off or if there’s a second wave coming before the end of Q4? I’ve started updating my LinkedIn just in case, because at this point, loyalty to the company feels like a one-way street. Would appreciate any real talk from those who have been through these cycles here before.

It is honestly exhausting to keep hearing about 'strategic realignment' while watching talented colleagues walk out the door. The lack of transparency from leadership is what hurts the most. We’re all expected to just absorb the extra workload immediately, but how can we stay productive when the company culture feels like it is crumbling? The trust is broken, and it is going to take a long time to get that back, if it ever happens at all.

I have been here long enough to know that these cuts are rarely about efficiency and always about optics for the shareholders. It is incredibly demoralizing to see the people who actually build the products being treated like disposable line items. The 'do more with less' mantra is just a polite way of saying we are headed for burnout. Everyone I talk to is polishing their resume today; nobody feels secure here anymore.
