Is Vertex hiring freeze starting?

Applied for a couple of roles at Vertex a month back and still haven't heard anything, which is unusual given my experience and how quickly they normally move. Also noticed some positions I saw posted a few weeks ago are no longer listed. Could be a coincidence, but with the general market sentiment and what others are saying about 'streamlining', I'm wondering if they've quietly put a hold on external hiring or are being much more selective. Has anyone else experienced a significant slowdown in the recruitment process or seen fewer new openings pop up recently? Trying to gauge if this is a sign of upcoming changes or just a temporary lull. Any insights would be appreciated.
