Seeing a lot of 'delays' on internal projects at Vulcan. Anyone else notice?

Hey everyone, been with Vulcan for a few years now in [department]. Lately, it feels like a lot of projects that were previously on track are suddenly facing 'indefinite delays' or being put on the back burner. Budgets are tighter, and there's a general sense of 'wait and see' across a lot of teams. My manager is pretty tight-lipped, but the vibe is definitely shifting. Has anyone else in other departments or regions been experiencing similar slowdowns or project stalls? Wondering if this is a company-wide thing or if it's just my area. Trying to gauge the temperature here.

Yep, I've definitely seen it too, especially on the operational side. Seems like a lot of capital expenditure projects that were slated for this year are being re-evaluated or pushed out. There's a lot of chatter about 'strategic realignment' and focusing on core business, but it translates to a lot of 'hurry up and wait' for folks working on these initiatives. The uncertainty is a bit frustrating, makes it hard to plan effectively.

Can confirm. In [another department], we're seeing similar project slowdowns. Seems like the focus has shifted heavily towards cost optimization and efficiency gains. While that's understandable in the current economic climate, it does put a damper on innovation and new development. Communication has been pretty sparse regarding the specifics, which adds to the general feeling of unease. Hoping for more clarity soon.
