Hey everyone, been with VMC for a few years now and lately things just feel... different. Projects seem to be getting pushed back more than usual, and there's a definite chill in some meetings. Heard some chatter about "resource optimization" but it sounds like code for something else. Budgets feel tighter, and there's a general sense of uncertainty that wasn't there before. Is anyone else in operations, sales, or even admin seeing similar trends? Feels like we're on the edge of something, and not necessarily in a good way. Trying not to jump to conclusions, but the gut feeling is strong. Wondering if this is company-wide or just specific divisions. Would appreciate any insights or similar experiences.

Definitely seeing the same thing. Been in supply chain here for a while and the lead times on raw materials are stretching out, plus the internal communication about project timelines is way more vague than it used to be. "Resource optimization" is a term that's popped up a lot in our team meetings too, and it's hard not to read between the lines when orders are being scrutinized more than ever. It feels like everyone's holding their breath waiting for the next shoe to drop.

Yeah, my department's been feeling it too. We're in logistics and the increased focus on cutting costs is palpable. There's been a push to consolidate shipments and find alternative routes, which is fine, but it adds a layer of complexity and stress that wasn't there six months ago. The "efficiency drive" they're calling it feels more like a scramble to make numbers work, and the uncertainty is making planning a nightmare.
