It’s an easy way to force a mass resignation without calling it a traditional layoff—just tell people they have to move their entire lives halfway across the country or lose their job. It’s a classic move, honestly. I have coworkers who just bought houses here, put their kids in local schools, and now they are basically being told to pack up or hit the road. It feels incredibly disrespectful to the people who built the systems keeping this place running.
