That CNN+ marketing spend freeze - what does it mean?

So I saw the news about WBD freezing all external marketing for CNN+. Okay, maybe it's just a smart business move to consolidate, but it feels... ominous. CNN+ was supposed to be a big play, right? Halting marketing like that feels like they're pulling the plug before it even got a real chance. Does this signal a bigger strategic shift? Are they going to be cutting channels or entire divisions if they don't see immediate ROI? I work tangentially to some of the streaming efforts and the uncertainty is making me seriously consider my options. Feels like a lot of the 'growth' initiatives might be on the chopping block. Anyone else in a similar boat or have thoughts on what this move really signifies?

It's definitely a bit concerning, isn't it? Freezing marketing on a major new product like CNN+ does raise eyebrows. While consolidation and streamlining are often necessary, this aggressive pause suggests internal priorities might have shifted dramatically. It makes you wonder about the long-term vision for their streaming portfolio and how they're assessing success across the board. Hopefully, it's just a temporary recalibration and not a sign of deeper issues.
