Prepping for the worst at WM, just in case

Okay, so no official word, and I know we shouldn't jump to conclusions, but the general chatter and the way things have been feeling lately has me thinking it's prudent to be prepared. I've started updating my resume just in case and have been casually browsing job boards. It's not necessarily because I *expect* layoffs, but more about peace of mind. If something does happen, I don't want to be caught completely off guard scrambling. Has anyone else started to do this, even without concrete information? What are your go-to strategies for being layoff-ready? Any advice on networking or keeping skills sharp would be appreciated. Just trying to be proactive in this uncertain climate. What are your thoughts on how to best prepare without causing unnecessary panic?

Honestly, I get it. Even if nothing comes of it, having an updated resume and a sense of what else is out there can be really empowering. It's like having a safety net. Better to be a little overprepared than caught completely flat-footed. It's smart to look out for yourself and your future, regardless of what might or might not happen.

I've seen similar sentiment bouncing around. It's wise to keep options open, especially when there's uncertainty. While I hope things stay stable, preparing doesn't hurt. It shows initiative and foresight. I've been making a few quiet inquiries myself, just to gauge the market and stay informed. It's all about having a backup plan.
