Hey everyone, been with WM for a few years now and things have felt... unusually quiet on the hiring front lately. My manager has been a bit cagey when asked about open roles, and I've heard whispers through the grapevine about a potential hiring freeze being implemented company-wide, at least for the next quarter. Not sure if it's true or just some panicked speculation, but it's definitely creating some unease. Has anyone else in different departments heard similar things or noticed a slowdown in recruitment? I've been at WM for a while too, and yeah, the hiring vibe has definitely shifted. Usually, there are always roles popping up, but lately, it feels like a desert out there. My department's been holding off on backfilling a couple of positions that opened up, which is unusual for us. I'm hoping it's just a temporary pause to re-evaluate needs, but the uncertainty is definitely a bit unsettling for sure. Hopefully, we get some clarity soon.

Haven't heard direct confirmation of a freeze in my area, but the slowdown is palpable. We've had a couple of critical roles posted for ages with no bites or interviews scheduled.
