Anyone else feeling the pressure at WEC? What's the vibe?

Hey everyone, lurker here. Been with WEC for a few years now, mostly in [mention a general department like operations/engineering/corporate]. Lately, I've been picking up on a weird vibe. Budgets feel tighter, and there's a lot of talk about 'efficiency' and 'streamlining' that sounds a bit ominous. Been hearing whispers about potential restructuring down the line, but nothing concrete. Just wanted to see if anyone else is sensing this or if it's just my department/location. Are meetings feeling more tense? Are people being more cagey about future projects? Curious to hear what others are seeing or hearing. Trying not to spiral, but it's hard when the grapevine is buzzing. Anyone got any insights or similar experiences at other utilities that might shed light on this?

Yeah, I'm definitely feeling it too. Been in my role for a while and the 'efficiency' talk is definitely picking up steam. Seems like every project has to be scrutinized for cost savings. It creates a bit of an anxious atmosphere when you're trying to get things done, and the constant pressure to do more with less can be draining. Hope it's just a cycle and not something more long-term.

I've noticed the shift as well, though maybe not as acutely. We've always been focused on efficiency, but it feels more pronounced now. There's a palpable sense of caution around spending, and some of the initiatives feel a bit rushed.
