Hey everyone, been with WEC for a few years now and lately things feel… uncertain. No official news or anything concrete, but there's a definite buzz in the air. My department's been told to "optimize resources" which usually translates to "do more with less," but lately it feels like it could mean more. I've noticed a slowdown in external hiring for some roles, and internal transfers seem to be getting scrutinized more than usual. Has anyone else picked up on this? Are other teams seeing similar things? Curious to hear if anyone has insights into leadership's thinking or if there are any strategic shifts on the horizon that might explain this feeling. Just trying to gauge the temperature before things potentially get dicey. Appreciate any thoughts or observations.

I've been hearing similar rumblings on my end, though nothing official. "Optimizing resources" definitely raises an eyebrow these days. We haven't had any new external hires in our group for months, and even internal movements are taking longer than they used to. It's hard to tell if it's a general belt-tightening or something more specific. Hopefully, it's just a temporary lull.

Interesting to hear others are feeling it too. "Resource optimization" sounds like a corporate euphemism for something bigger. My team's project pipeline seems to be slowing down, and there's been a hush-hush feeling about approvals for new initiatives.
