WEC Energy: Feeling the pressure to do more with less?

Lately, it feels like the workload is just piling up, but there's no corresponding increase in headcount. We're constantly being told to be more efficient, innovate, and deliver more, but the resources aren't there. My team is stretched incredibly thin, and people are burning out. I've seen a couple of people leave recently, and replacements aren't happening quickly, if at all. It's getting to the point where I'm worried about meeting deadlines and maintaining quality. Is this a common sentiment across WEC? Are managers being put in impossible situations by upper management? Just wondering if anyone else is feeling this intense pressure to do more with less, and if you have any thoughts on where this is heading. Feels unsustainable in the long run.

Yeah, I'm feeling this big time. It's like they expect miracles with a shoestring budget. The pressure to optimize everything is constant, but when you ask for the tools or the people to actually *do* it, crickets. My team is pulling double duty, and you can see the exhaustion. I hear you. The 'do more with less' mantra is getting old fast. We're expected to be innovative and efficient, but there's a real disconnect between that expectation and the reality of our resources. Staffing levels are a joke, and the constant push for higher output without support is leading to burnout. I've seen good people walk because they're simply worn out. Worried about what this means for future projects and our ability to deliver.
