Hey everyone, been at WEC for a few years now and something feels... off lately. Usually, you hear about teams growing or at least staying stable, but it feels like there's a hush over everything. Been noticing a lot of open reqs staying open for ages, and some projects that were supposed to kick off seem to be on indefinite hold. Even the usual internal mobility chatter has died down. Has anyone else picked up on this? I'm not hearing specific layoff numbers or departments being targeted, but the vibe is definitely leaning towards 'cost-saving' or 're-evaluating needs.' Could just be a normal cycle, but with everything going on in the economy, my spidey senses are tingling. Anyone else seeing this or have any insight into what's happening behind the scenes?

I've been seeing similar things. That particular job posting I was watching has been up for months with no updates. It's definitely a change from how things usually operate. I'm trying not to jump to conclusions, but the lack of movement and the prolonged open requisitions are a bit concerning. It makes you wonder what the long-term strategy is or if there's a broader economic headwind they're bracing for. Hope someone has more concrete information soon.

Interesting post. I haven't personally felt any direct impact, but I do agree that the energy seems different. The usual buzz around new initiatives and team expansions seems muted. It's probably a good idea to keep an eye on official communications and listen to what leadership is saying. Sometimes these things are just part of a broader strategic realignment that isn't immediately obvious to everyone on the ground floor. Let's hope it's just a temporary lull.
