Hey everyone, been with WEC for a few years now and lately things have felt... different. Not seeing any official announcements or anything concrete, but there's a definite buzz. Budgets seem tighter, travel is being scrutinized more than ever, and there's a general sense of "doing more with less" creeping into conversations. Meetings are getting cut, project scopes seem to be shrinking, and the pressure to hit efficiency targets feels amplified. Just wanted to see if anyone else is picking up on this or if I'm just in my own echo chamber. Is this a company-wide thing, or are specific departments feeling it more? Curious to hear other perspectives. Anyone have insights into what might be driving this, or is it just the general economic climate affecting utilities too? Yeah, I've noticed it too. It's subtle, but definitely there. Feels like they're really pushing for cost control across the board, which isn't necessarily a bad thing long-term, but it does make things feel a bit more rigid day-to-day. The increased focus on travel approvals and shrinking project scopes is pretty apparent. Makes you wonder what's driving it.

Interesting to hear someone else is feeling the same way. I initially chalked it up to just the usual cyclical pressures, but the consistency across different departments and the increased emphasis on efficiency metrics feels more strategic.
