WEC Energy: Understaffing concerns growing?

Been at WEC for a few years now, and lately it feels like we're being asked to do more with less, consistently. Project timelines are getting tighter, and there's a noticeable pressure to cut costs everywhere. I haven't heard any concrete layoff news, and my team hasn't had any direct impacts yet, but the vibe is definitely shifting. It's more about operational efficiency, or so the messaging goes. Anyone else in different departments feeling this strain? Are managers pushing for higher productivity without adding resources? Just trying to gauge if this is a company-wide trend or if I'm just in a particularly busy corner of the business. Trying to stay positive, but it's getting harder to ignore the signs.

I've been hearing similar rumblings across the board. The 'efficiency' push seems to be translating into stretched resources and increased workload for existing staff. It's creating a lot of anxiety about burnout and whether the company is setting itself up for future problems by not investing adequately in its people. Hope the higher-ups are listening to these signals before it impacts service reliability.

Totally feel this. It's not just one department; it feels systemic. While I appreciate the focus on smart operations, it seems to be at the expense of maintaining a healthy work-life balance. The pressure is definitely on, and it's making it harder to maintain the quality of work we're all proud of. Curious to see if this trend continues or if there's a correction planned.
