West Pharma - Feeling the pressure, need perspective

Is it just me or has the atmosphere at West Pharma gotten a bit tense lately? Project timelines seem tighter, budgets are being scrutinized more than usual, and there's a general sense of 'belt-tightening.' I haven't seen any official announcements, and my direct manager hasn't said anything alarming, but the overall vibe feels different. I'm in [mention general department if comfortable, e.g., R&D/Operations/Sales] and we've definitely felt some shifts. Curious if others in different departments are experiencing similar things. Trying to stay positive and focused on my work, but it's hard not to worry when you hear about layoffs happening elsewhere in the industry. Anyone else picking up on this, or am I just being paranoid?

Yeah, I've noticed it too, especially in [general department]. It feels like there's more pressure to hit targets, and resource allocation seems a lot more cautious. My team has been asked to justify every expense, which is a bit of a change from how things used to be. It's not necessarily a bad thing, could just be a sign of increased focus or market demands, but the atmosphere is definitely a bit more intense than I remember from even six months ago. Makes you wonder what's driving it all behind the scenes.
