Another round of cuts: where does it stop?

So 112 more in Vancouver. How many rounds is that now? I’ve lost count. It feels like every quarter we get a new memo about 'refocusing the business' and then a few weeks later, we’re back to reading about layoffs on the news before we hear it from management. I’m honestly just exhausted by the anxiety of it all. It’s hard to stay motivated on projects when you’re wondering if your team is next on the chopping block. Is anyone else feeling like the 'strategy' here is just trimming headcount to keep the stock price from bleeding out? I’ve been looking for an exit for months, but the market is brutal out there right now. For those still sitting in their seats, are you planning to wait it out or are you actively jumping ship? I feel like the culture is completely gone at this point. Just a shell of a company waiting for the next quarterly report.

It is getting harder to justify staying when the communication is this poor. Finding out about my coworkers' livelihoods through a news feed rather than internal channels is a slap in the face. Leadership keeps talking about 'synergy' and 'strategic alignment,' but it’s clear the only strategy is hitting a quarterly number by cutting the people who actually build the products. I’m spending more time updating my resume than focusing on my actual tasks at this point.

I understand the frustration, but it seems like the entire storage sector is going through a massive structural shift right now. While the execution from management has been messy and definitely lacks transparency, these moves are unfortunately becoming the standard operating procedure for tech giants trying to pivot toward flash and enterprise solutions. It is brutal, but try not to take the 'refocusing' jargon too personally—it is just cold, calculated corporate math, even if it feels completely demoralizing.
