Just saw the WARN notice hit for the Vancouver location. 112 people gone as of July 8th. I’ve been hearing whispers about consolidation for months, but seeing the actual number makes it real. Does anyone know if this is strictly limited to the Vancouver office, or are we expecting ripple effects in the other hubs? My manager has been completely MIA today, and the lack of communication from leadership is honestly the worst part. I feel like we’re all just waiting for the next calendar invite to drop. If you were impacted, please share what the package looks like—I'm trying to prepare for the worst while hoping for the best.

The silence from management is deafening, but it’s sadly become the standard operating procedure lately. If you're seeing layoffs in Vancouver, don't assume you're safe elsewhere. These consolidations usually come in waves, and the company has been looking to trim headcount across several divisions to hit those margin targets. Keep your resume updated and start networking outside the company immediately; it is much better to be prepared for the worst while hoping for the best than to be blindsided by a sudden invite on your calendar later this week.

I’m sorry you’re going through this. The Vancouver cuts have been rumored on the internal boards for a while, but the lack of transparency really makes the environment toxic for everyone left behind. From what I’ve heard from folks in other hubs, this is likely part of a broader restructuring plan, not just a one-off event. It is incredibly frustrating to be kept in the dark while your colleagues are walking out the door. Focus on yourself and your own security right now, because leadership certainly isn't prioritizing the staff.
