Just saw the official WARN notice drop for the Vancouver site. 112 people impacted as of yesterday, July 8th. I know there have been rumors floating around the internal slack channels for weeks, but seeing the actual number posted in black and white hits differently. If you are reading this and were part of the group, I am truly sorry. It’s been a rough stretch for the hardware sector, and I know everyone is exhausted from the constant 'restructuring' messaging we get from leadership every quarter. Does anyone know if they are actually offering the standard 60-day pay in lieu of notice, or are they playing games with the wording? Trying to figure out if I need to reach out to a labor attorney or if the package is at least baseline decent. Stay strong everyone, the market is brutal right now but this isn't a reflection of the talent here.

This is absolutely devastating news. I’ve been through these cycles before, and the toll it takes on a team is immeasurable. Vancouver was a tight-knit group, and seeing this confirmed in the WARN notice makes it all too real. To everyone affected, please take care of yourselves and prioritize your mental health right now. It feels like this company has lost its way, and I’m sorry you all are paying the price for these endless restructuring decisions.

Another round of layoffs, another quarter of vague corporate speak. It’s honestly getting tiring to watch how leadership handles these transitions while pretending everything is business as usual. I really feel for the 112 people in Vancouver—they deserved much better than being part of a spreadsheet cut. If you were impacted, start leveraging your networks immediately. Don't waste energy waiting for support from the higher-ups; look out for each other and keep your heads up.
