This sounds exactly like what happened in my department last quarter. Management loves to frame these impossible metrics as 'stretching goals,' but we all know it’s just a paper trail to justify layoffs. When the standards stay high while the support staff disappears, quality inevitably suffers. Keep your documentation in order and don't take the bait when they try to pin the systemic failures on you personally. It’s a classic squeeze play.
I honestly think you're overreacting. Wynn has always set the bar high because that’s what defines the brand. If you can’t handle the performance targets, maybe it’s time to move on instead of blaming the company for trying to remain efficient. Every luxury business has to trim the fat eventually to stay competitive in this market. If you put your head down and focus on the deliverables, you might find these goals aren't as unattainable as they seem.
