I've definitely noticed the same trend in the F&B department lately. It feels like a revolving door, and the 'personal reasons' excuse is starting to wear thin with the rest of the team. When leadership stops providing clear communication about departures, it creates a toxic guessing game that hurts morale. Honestly, the sudden workload increase without any talk of backfilling is a massive red flag. If they are really tightening the belt for Q4 at the expense of current staff, they’re going to see even more people walk out the door soon.
You aren't the only one feeling the shift. The atmosphere has been tense for a few weeks, and the lack of transparency is becoming the new standard. Management seems to be banking on us keeping our heads down while they restructure behind closed doors, but the burnout is becoming obvious. It’s hard to stay motivated when you’re covering for three different roles and nobody will acknowledge the elephant in the room. Keep your resume polished; if Q4 is shaping up the way the rumors suggest, this 'weird vibe' is only going to get worse.
