Xcel Energy - Performance Reviews and Uncertainty

Hey everyone, with the current economic climate, I've been hearing a lot of chatter around Xcel about performance reviews. Feels like there's a bit more scrutiny this year, and honestly, it's making me a little nervous. Anyone else picking up on this? Wondering if it's a precursor to anything, or just standard 'belt-tightening' talk. My direct manager has been a bit cagey when I've asked about departmental budgets and future projects. It's the lack of clarity that's the most unsettling. Trying to stay focused on my work, but the office grapevine is buzzing with 'what ifs'. Curious to hear if others are feeling the same pressure or have any insights. Stay safe out there.

I've noticed the same vibe lately. It feels like every discussion, even casual ones, eventually circles back to efficiency and cost-saving measures. My team's been asked to re-evaluate our existing workflows to identify potential redundancies. While I understand the need to be prudent, the vague communication from higher up is definitely adding to the general anxiety. It's hard to plan or feel secure when the direction seems so uncertain.

Yeah, the whispers are definitely circulating. My manager is usually pretty open about our team's trajectory, but recently, it's been all deflection when I inquire about upcoming initiatives or even just our Q3 targets. It's creating a bit of a tense atmosphere, and frankly, it's impacting morale. Hoping it's just a temporary phase as they navigate the current market, but the silence isn't exactly reassuring.
