Any Xylem employees feeling the pressure?

What's going on at Xylem? It feels like things are tightening up. My department's budget got slashed for Q3, and we're being told to "optimize resources" which sounds like code for "do more with less" or worse. Saw a few folks in logistics who used to be super busy looking a bit idle the other day. No official word on layoffs, but the atmosphere has definitely shifted. We used to be hiring pretty aggressively, but that seems to have stopped cold. Is this just a cyclical thing, or are we heading into tougher times? Anyone in finance or HR willing to shed some light, even anonymously? Just trying to understand the big picture here. This low-key anxiety isn't great for morale, to say the least.
