Xylem: Anyone else's department being squeezed?

Okay, this might be a bit of a rant, but also looking for similar experiences. My department at Xylem has been under a microscope lately. We're seeing increased pressure to cut costs, streamline processes, and basically do more with less. It's starting to feel like we're being set up. No official layoff announcements, but the constant 'efficiency drives' and budget reviews are making me nervous. It feels like a precursor. My workload has definitely increased, and there's a general sense of anxiety among my colleagues too. We're all trying to keep our heads down and do good work, but the background hum of 'what if' is getting louder. Has anyone else experienced this kind of intensified scrutiny without clear communication on the 'why'? Wondering if this is just my corner of Xylem or a broader company trend. Trying not to panic, but it's hard when the signals are pointing in a concerning direction.
