Hey everyone, been with Xylem for a few years now in the engineering department. Lately, I've been getting a weird vibe. We haven't had any official announcements, and my team is still chugging along, but there's been a noticeable slowdown in new project approvals and a general quietness from upper management that feels...off. It's not just me; I've heard a few hushed conversations in the breakroom, people speculating about budget cuts or restructuring. Has anyone else picked up on anything similar? Just trying to gauge if this is a widespread feeling or if I'm overthinking things. Trying to stay positive, but the uncertainty is starting to gnaw at me. Would appreciate any insights or similar experiences.

I'm in a similar boat, though in a different department. The lack of transparency is what's really unsettling. We've seen some key people leave in recent months without much fanfare, and there's definitely a sense of 'hurry up and wait' with new initiatives. I'm keeping my ear to the ground and updating my resume, just in case. It's tough when you can't get a clear picture of what's happening.

Interesting to hear others are feeling this too. We've had a few 'efficiency drives' lately that felt more like cost-cutting disguised. Less travel, stricter expense reports, and a general 'do more with less' mantra. While I appreciate a lean operation, it does make you wonder if something bigger is brewing behind the scenes.
