Xylem: Hearing whispers about headcount reduction - anyone else?

Been at Xylem for a few years now, and things have been pretty stable. Lately though, I've been hearing some chatter through the grapevine about potential headcount reductions. Nothing official has been announced, and communication from leadership has been pretty vague, but there's a definite unease in the air. Some teams seem to be freezing hiring, and a few people I know have been looking elsewhere. Has anyone else picked up on this? Is it specific to certain divisions or is it company-wide? Trying to gauge the severity of it all and if I should start dusting off my resume. Any insights or official/unofficial news would be helpful.

I haven't heard anything concrete about widespread cuts, but I've definitely noticed a slowdown in hiring for certain roles. It feels like things are being scrutinized more closely budget-wise. Some of the project timelines seem a bit stretched, which could be a sign of resource constraints. It's hard to say if it's a strategic shift or just a temporary belt-tightening measure. Hopefully, it's the latter and not something more significant impacting the workforce across the board.

Yeah, the vibe has been a little tense lately. I've seen some internal job postings disappear, and there's been a general quietness from management on future staffing. My team's been told to prioritize existing projects and postpone any new initiatives that aren't absolutely critical. It's creating a bit of uncertainty, and it's understandable why people are looking around. Just hoping for some clear communication soon so we know what to expect.
