Severance package details for the 9/30 round?

I’m one of the 91 impacted by the recent WARN notice filed for Louisville. The email came out of nowhere yesterday morning. HR is scheduling 1:1s throughout the week, but I haven't heard much from my peers about what the actual severance package looks like. Has anyone already had their call? Are they offering anything beyond the standard WARN-required pay, or is it just the bare minimum? I’ve been here for over five years and I’m pretty gutted. Just trying to figure out if I should be prepared for a fight or if the transition assistance is at least halfway decent. Any info would be appreciated.

I am so sorry you are going through this. I was part of the restructuring a couple of years ago, and typically, they offer a base severance based on years of service plus COBRA assistance. Do not sign anything immediately during that 1:1 meeting. Ask for the full severance agreement document to review at home. Most people get a bit more than just the WARN pay, but it is rarely enough to bridge the gap if you are out of work for long. Take a deep breath and document everything they tell you during the call.
