It is the same old story at ZB. They talk about 'strategic alignment' and 'operational efficiency' while gutting the workforce, but the stock price never seems to reflect the supposed benefits of these constant purges. The leadership team appears completely rudderless, hopping from one failed initiative to the next while the actual talent exits the building. If you are waiting for a long-term plan, you are looking in the wrong place. They are just grinding the remaining employees into the dirt until there is nothing left to cut.
I have been here long enough to know that nobody is safe. They treat these layoffs like a scheduled maintenance cycle rather than a crisis, which is honestly more terrifying. Every time we hear about another round of cuts, they try to dress it up with corporate jargon about 'optimizing our portfolio,' but we all know it is just about meeting quarterly targets at the expense of our sanity. I stopped caring about the long-term vision a year ago; I am just keeping my head down and counting the days until I can find something stable.
