Zoetis - Signs pointing to a slowdown?

Hey everyone, been at Zoetis for a few years now in R&D. Lately, I've been picking up on some subtle shifts that make me a bit uneasy. Budgets seem tighter, hiring has definitely slowed down in my department, and there's a bit more talk about 'efficiency' than usual. No official word on layoffs or anything like that, and I know the animal health sector is generally more stable than human pharma, but the overall atmosphere feels different. Anyone else in different departments or with more visibility noticing anything similar? Trying to gauge if this is just a company-wide thing or if I'm overthinking it. Curious to hear what others are seeing or hearing, especially from folks in commercial or manufacturing.

Interesting observations. I'm in Commercial Ops and haven't felt quite the same pinch, but there's definitely a more cautious approach to new initiatives and travel expenses. Our leadership is emphasizing maximizing existing resources. It could just be sector-wide prudence, but it's worth noting if more people are seeing similar trends across different areas of the company.

I can echo some of that from my experience in Manufacturing. While we haven't seen hiring freezes, there's a definite focus on optimizing production lines and reducing waste. It feels like a proactive move to ensure profitability in a potentially less predictable economic climate rather than a sign of immediate crisis. Still, the increased emphasis on cost control is noticeable.
