Anyone else feeling the chill at Abbott?

Been with Abbott for a few years now, and things are definitely feeling...different. Heard some whispers about reorganizations and potential headcount adjustments coming down the pipeline. Nothing official, of course. My manager is being super tight-lipped, just giving vague answers about 'strategic realignment.' My skip-level was a bit more candid, hinting that some areas might be more impacted than others. Honestly, it's making it hard to focus. I'm seeing fewer new projects being kicked off and a general sense of caution. Anyone else in a similar boat? Trying to gauge if this is company-wide or just specific departments. Trying not to panic, but it's tough when the uncertainty is this high.

Yeah, I've been picking up on similar vibes. The 'strategic realignment' buzzword is definitely circulating. It's tough when leadership is so opaque about what's actually happening. I'm trying to stay focused on my current work and document everything, just in case. It's hard not to worry when projects seem to be slowing down and there's an undercurrent of uncertainty. My advice? Start polishing that resume and discreetly networking. While I understand the desire for official announcements, companies rarely give much warning before major changes. If you're hearing whispers and seeing project slowdowns, it's a pretty strong indicator that something is brewing. Better to be prepared and actively exploring options than to be caught off guard. Stay vigilant.
